This fly was supplied by Bruce Raymer of Goose Bay Outfitters who is fortunate enough to be able to fish giant brookies and Atlantic salmon in the Labrador wilderness. 

This is a local pattern used by the natives in the Eagle River section of Labrador.

Hooks - Single salmon, sizes 4-10

Thread - Red

Tip - Lower half, oval silver tinsel; the upper half, fluorescent red floss

Tail - White hackle fibers

Ribbing - Oval silver tinsel

Body - Yellow floss

Hackle - Scarlet red and white tied on as a collar mixed and tied back and down

Wing - White bucktail tied low over the body, with an over wing of sparse red bucktail

Tail - A golden pheasant crest feather topped with blended strands of fluorescent red and orange floss 

Butt - Black ostrich herl 

Rear body - Flat silver tinsel 

Rear throat - Yellow hackle 

Mid butt - Black ostrich herl

Front body - Flat silver tinsel 

Throat - Yellow hackle

Wing - Dyed yellow gray squirrel tail

Cheeks - Jungle cock
