Hook - Single salmon

Thread - Black

Tail - White hackle fibers

Ribbing - Fine flat silver tinsel

Body - Rear half, yellow wool; front half, red wool

Hackle - Brown as a wet fly collar

Wing - Black squirrel tail (to end of tail)

Thread - Brown

Tail - Yellow calf tail

Body - Rear half, dubbed with yellow lamb's wool; the front half, dubbed with red lamb's wool

Hackle - Dark ginger tied on as a collar and tied back

Wing - Fox squirrel tail tied over the body

Author's Note

This is an old pattern that enjoys periods of popularity. 

It is reported to be a good late summer and fall pattern.

Wing - Pink bucktail tied over the body
