Author's Note

Marc Madore of Blackville, New Brunswick, has created several highly effective artificial flies for catching Salma salar, including the Silver Dart. Primarily used in shallow water, this fly proves more productive if the wing has few hairs and is attached to a long leader with a thin tippet. Preferring to drift as naturally as possible in the current, as if nothing were holding it back, its creator ties it using the Non-Slip Mono Loop knot popularized by Lefty Kreh.
