Gilles Dessureault lives in Lévis, more precisely in the Saint-Romuald district, and has been fly fishing for many years.

Like all experienced salmon anglers, he suffers from acute salmonitis (a thankfully incurable condition) durinthe winter season, and he enjoys designing flies for the upcoming fishing season. About twenty years ago, he inventedthe Polar, a fly that deserves to be better known. In fact, since then, it has brought him particular success on the Bonaventure River. In his opinion, it would be most effective in partly sunny conditions and tied on size 6 to 10 double hooks.

André Boucher is also a skilled fly tyer. To the artificial flies that have earned their stripes, Boucher liked to add a personal touch. Thus, a few years ago, he modified the Godbout, a fly created by fly tyer Pierre Tremblay of Quebec City. Instead of attaching hair wings, he replaced them with Krystal Flash or Twinklke Hair, and from the very first attempts, it brought him success. As the play of light on the strands of this material reminded him of the purity of crystal, he named this fly the Godbout de Cristal (Crystal Godbout).
